Cortesi Gallery LUGANO is delighted to announce its restart with a solo show dedicated to the contemporary Italian artist Maurizio Donzelli – THRESHOLDS.

After the success of his first solo exhibition held in Lugano in 2016, Cortesi Gallery presents a site-specific project, characterized by new works, specifically conceived to be intended in a dialogue with the gallery space.

Works made of different materials, typical of the artist’s versatility, will be on displayed, such as tapestries, gold backgrounds and the already known talisman drawings and mirrors.

The title of the project combines the idea of a threshold and a crossing over, highlighting one of the paradigmatic aspects of Maurizio Donzelli’s artistic research: his work on the image between evidence and latency, transformation and appearance.
